ABOUT

AN INTRO TO ME
Welcome To Wander Now Travel!
Hi there! I’m Stacie—midlife adventurer, road trip lover, and your go-to guide for uncovering hidden gems, planning scenic getaways, and making travel easier and more joyful after 50.
I grew up camping under the stars, river rafting, and waking up to bacon on a camp stove—memories that sparked a lifelong love for exploration. Today, I still chase those magical moments (with a few more creature comforts), whether it’s hiking to waterfalls, picking tulips, or uncovering the best foodie spots or comfy outfits and charming farm stays.
After years in a demanding corporate role (and way too many unused vacation days), I decided it was time to stop waiting and start wandering. Now, I share smart, stress-free travel tips and curated itineraries designed to help midlife and multigenerational travelers explore with ease—from scenic road trips to unforgettable weekend escapes.
My travel crew? It’s a mix! Sometimes it’s just me and my husband on a couple’s escape, but often, you’ll find me exploring with my grown kids in tow. These days, I treasure travel experiences over things—give me a weekend getaway with my kids over birthday or Christmas gifts any day. Shared memories mean so much more.
Whether you’re looking for hidden gems across the U.S., ideas for agritourism adventures and farm stays, curated road trip routes, or easy-to-follow travel itineraries—this space is for you.
Wander Smart, Wander Far and Wander Now!
Warmly,
Stacie

DESTINATIONS
Where I’ve Been:

Canada
Living on the West Coast makes exploring the Pacific Northwest a dream! One of my favorite adventures took me across the border to Canada. From lush gardens to waterfront views, it’s the perfect getaway for midlife and multigenerational travelers.

Ireland
Ireland holds a special place in my heart—my husband’s mom was born and raised in Galway, so we’ve been lucky to visit multiple times. From the lively streets of Dublin to the rugged beauty of Connemara and the charm of villages in the Ring of Kerry, each trip has deepened our connection to this beautiful country.

Italy
I was incredibly blessed to visit Rome during the Jubilee Year—a once-in-a-lifetime experience filled with history, faith, and unforgettable beauty around every corner.

Mexico
From the vibrant energy of Tijuana to the turquoise beaches of Cancun, Mexico has offered a beautiful blend of culture, color, and coastal adventure. Whether exploring street markets or relaxing by the Caribbean Sea, each visit has been filled with warmth, flavor, and unforgettable views.

Switzerland
Switzerland was a dream come true—especially meaningful since my husband’s grandfather was born and raised in Zurich. We explored everything from the alpine beauty of the Alps to the storybook charm of medieval walled cities. Every village and valley felt like a postcard come to life.

United Kingdom
Exploring the United Kingdom was a blend of iconic landmarks and hidden charm. From the bustling streets and royal history of London to the medieval beauty of Chester and the coastal character of Cardiff in Wales, every stop offered a new layer of culture, architecture, and storybook scenery.

United States
Living in California and growing up in Texas has given me the perfect launchpad for exploring the diverse beauty of the United States. From the glaciers of Alaska to the beaches of Florida, the deserts of Arizona to the lush forests of Oregon and Washington, I’ve wandered through 30+ states—including summer visits to family in Tennessee and meaningful trips to places like Hawaii, New York, and Utah. Every region has its own story, and I love uncovering the unique charm, culture, and natural wonders that make each destination unforgettable.

US National Parks
Visiting all 63 U.S. National Parks is one of my biggest travel goals—and I’ve already checked off 24, from the iconic peaks of Yosemite and the vibrant hoodoos of Bryce Canyon to the desert beauty of Big Bend and the lush landscapes of the Great Smoky Mountains. I’ve wandered through alpine lakes in the Tetons, volcanic wonders in Lassen, and ancient caves in Carlsbad Caverns. Next up: the 138 National Monuments! Whether it’s a rugged trail, a quiet forest, or a sweeping canyon vista, I’m always chasing that next unforgettable park moment.
WHY I BLOG
The “Why” Behind The Blog
I started Wander Now Travel to create a space for travelers over 50 who want more than generic advice. There aren’t many midlife travel blogs out there, and I wanted to give the 50+ community a voice—a place to find trusted travel tips, destination ideas, and inspiration tailored to our stage of life.
As a midlife adventurer who sometimes travels with just my daughter or my husband or even solo, but often with my extended family, I understand how challenging it can be to plan meaningful, stress-free trips that work for all ages. That’s why I focus on multigenerational travel—sharing real-world advice, smart travel hacks, and easy-to-follow itineraries designed to help you explore the world with more confidence, connection, and joy.
